Weber Shandwick

RITE is an internal communications initiative designed to give every team member at Weber Shandwick a voice. Built on the belief that every opinion counts, RITE uses creative technology to capture real-time feedback from employees on workplace matters that impact them most. The goal is to create a transparent, responsive, and inclusive work environment where people feel heard and valued.

Design process

1. Discover

Researched employee needs, pain points, and existing communication gaps through interviews and surveys.

2. Define

Synthesized insights to identify key problems and user goals for an effective feedback platform.

3. Ideat

Explored creative solutions and features through brainstorming sessions and user journey mapping.

4. Prototype

Developed low- to high-fidelity prototypes to visualize the platform’s structure and interactions.

5. Test

Conducted usability testing to gather feedback, refine the design, and ensure it meets user expectations.

Defining the Problem

Weber Shandwick lacks an effective, real-time system to gather employee feedback and measure satisfaction. Existing methods are slow, impersonal, and lead to low participation, making it difficult to understand how employees truly feel. To build a more engaged and inclusive workplace, there's a need for a platform that simplifies feedback collection, encourages honest input, and helps the company respond quickly to employee needs.

Design Intent

Mobile-First & Responsive Design

Prioritize mobile usability to encourage on-the-go interaction. Design components that scale gracefully across devices, ensuring seamless functionality and readability on phones, tablets, and desktops.

Emotional Engagement

Use positive visual language, tone, and subtle animations to promote emotional connection.

User-Centered Design

Put employees first by understanding their needs through surveys, interviews, and personas to design an intuitive and engaging platform for all.

Simplicity & Speed

Create a lightweight, fast, and distraction-free interface. Employees should be able to give feedback in under 30 seconds.
